All those who try to go it alone, too proud to be beholden for relief, are absolutely sure to come to grief. - Robert Frost
How does this quote make you feel? Do you connect with it, or do these quotes seem cliche and too vague?
Personally, I have felt more connected and helped by quotes in general after the passing of my mom. It's weird, because as an avid reader and writer I always enjoyed quotes but can't say they ever had a major impact on me. But during my time of grief, quotes have made me feel more connected to the endless number of humans, and even animals who have experience the dread of loss.

I can definitely relate to this quote. Life, in general, is hard to bear on your own in any given circumstance. Coming from a place of grief, that just compounds everything you are feeling. The one thing that we have found, Steffanie and I, is that having a community of other bereaved parents that are the only other people who can truly understand how we feel, is our biggest support system. You have to have some kind of outlet to get your thoughts and feelings out there. It helps you to get stuff off of
your chest, deal with the turmoil and rollercoaster of emotions you are feeling, and really helps you to know that you are not alone in your grief. As you mentioned, before I really had that outlet, I went to quotes as well. I looked for anything and everything that spoke to me. It was a way to connect with other people and know that I wasn't alone. Now, they can bring me back to a darker place than I want to be in at times, but some days when you are in the middle of it, it can help speak to your soul and get it out how you are truly feeling. Someone gave me a picture frame that I have a picture of my son, Mason, in and the quote is: "Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure. You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure." That always makes me think of him now, whenever I see it. It's a pretty common quote, I believe. There have many things over the last 3 years that resonate with me, but that's the first to come to mind. - Kristina Cuningham 🌻 Co-Founder of Sunflowers & Red Feathers https://www.flowcode.com/page/sunflowersandredfeathers
